Welcome to our vitiligo camouflage Istanbul guide for international guests. Vitiligo Camouflage Istanbul: What We Do
We camouflage skin areas using medical pigments matched to your own skin tone: VITILIGO CAMOUFLAGE, scar and surgical scar camouflage, stretch mark camouflage and 3D AREOLA CAMOUFLAGE. This is not a treatment for vitiligo and not a decorative tattoo; the goal is a natural blend with your surrounding skin.
Before you book
Send a clear photo of the area to us on WhatsApp. I review every case personally and let you know whether it is suitable. For vitiligo, the lesion must be stable, meaning no change or spreading for at least 6-12 months. If your vitiligo is still active, please continue with your dermatologist first. I don’t work on active vitiligo, because needle work during an active phase can trigger new patches. After the assessment, I share the session fee with you.
How many visits?
Vitiligo usually needs 3-5 sessions; scars, stretch marks and areola 2-3 sessions. Sessions are 30-45 days apart, so each session is a separate visit. A session takes 1-2 hours, and several areas can be treated in the same session. Many guests stay one night; some fly in and out on the same day.
Getting here
We recommend flying into Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW). The M4 metro line runs directly from the airport, and our studio is a short walk from Yenisahra station. No taxi needed.
Where to stay
The Hilton Istanbul Kozyatagi is right by Kozyatağı station, just one metro stop from our studio.
Payment
Payment is made per session, on the day of the session.
Honest expectations
In stable vitiligo lesions, 80-85% of our guests achieve a result that matches their natural skin tone. In about 5-10% of cases, the skin does not hold the pigment, and this cannot be predicted in advance. The first session is never the final result; the real change appears gradually in the 2nd and 3rd sessions. For scars, stretch marks and areola, 90-95% of our guests achieve a successful result. How Long Does It Last?
Under the right conditions, results last up to 5 years, and longer for some guests. The skin itself is the main factor, along with sun exposure and aftercare. If the colour fades, it doesn’t turn into another shade: it stays in your own skin tone and becomes a little lighter. It can then be refreshed with another session.
Aftercare while travelling
For the first 24 hours, keep the area dry. For 7 days after each session, avoid pools, the sea, saunas and heavy sweating, and never pick the scabs. Avoid retinol, peels and acids on the area until it has fully healed. Once healed, use SPF 50+ on the area for life. This is the single most important step for a long-lasting result.
